Money
Edit
Cash
Edit
Cash is the most prevalent form of currency in DC Universe Online. Represented by gold dollar symbol icons, Cash can be earned for completing missions, destroying objects or defeating enemies, players can also sell unwanted items to vendors for cash. Cash is the primary form of currency and is featured in the majority of trades with Vendors and Kiosks; used to purchase equipment, consumables, equipment repairs, and the Trait Reset (or Re-spec) service. It is currently the only Currency able to be traded or mailed between players.
Escrow
Edit
Escrow is cash that exceeds a player's current Access Level status. Once the player meets and exceeds their limit, as dictated by their Access Level, all money they earn that exceeds the limit will be placed in an "Escrow Account" until they upgrade their Access Level which increases their currency limit.
- Free Access, any amount exceeding $1,500 will be placed in Escrow.
- Premium Access, any amount exceeding $2,000 will be placed in Escrow.
- Legendary Access, currency amount is unlimited and Escrow is no longer applicable.
The Marketplace also provides purchasable upgrades that enable the player to access 10,000 or 25,000 of their Escrow cash for a set amount of Station Cash or to freely access the Escrow Account for 7 days.
Station Cash
Edit
Station Cash is the microtransaction currency used to buy things in the Marketplace such as DLC packs and gear.
Loyalty Points
Edit
Loyalty Points are a currency unique to the PlayStation 3 port of DC Universe Online. Because the PlayStation 3 does not have a Marketplace like the PC Marketplace, PS3 players with recurring Legendary membership instead receive 500 Loyalty Points to spend at Skeets' Legendary Emporium kiosks located in player Safe Houses. The kiosk acts as the Marketplace for the PS3 port of DC Universe Online, with both ports offering the same consumable items, toys, DLC Packs and collectibles.
