EMP Combat Orb are summoned by Metallo to aid him in the battle against the player in the Hall of Doom instance. The player could hack the nearby security terminal to turn them against him. They do little damage, and Metallo's attack interrupts hacking, so it may be best to simply defeat Metallo, who is surprisingly easy.
A hacked combat orb glows blue instead.
