Recruits are members of the Special Crimes Unit of the Gotham City Police Department.
Following the release of the Exobytes, the GCPD created the SCU division to utilize the newly-acquired technology. As such, members of the SCU have been enhanced with Exobytes much like the New Heroes and New Villains that run rampant in Gotham City.

- Recruits battle Brainiac's Forces in the Brainiac Incursion Zone near the GCPD 9th Precinct.
- Recruits appear in the GCPD Special Crimes Unit.
