Shenanigans! is a Race unique to the 2011 St. Patrick's Day event, Mxyzptlk's Mischief. This race is a Single Player Flight Challenge that can be found in the Downtown district of the city of Metropolis.
"Fliers: Meet Mxyzptlk's challenge head on by pitting your flying skill and dazzling aerial maneuvers against him. Score a platinum medal to make him fulfill his promise of a reward!"
Special mechanics Edit
Mister Mxyzptlk appears at certain points along the race course, intent on halting a character's progress toward the finish line. Mxyzptlk can generate one of two obstacles, as well as small, illusory gates to throw fliers off track.
- Fool's Gold Coin Obstacle
Green coins are encountered at several places along the race course. Contact with these obstacles causes them to explode, knocking racers back and sometimes imprisoning them, requiring one to break free before continuing on. The coins are stationary, and one can simply fly around them.
- Energy Burst Obstacle
At several points along the course, Mister Mxyzptlk waits for the racers' arrival. As they draw near, the imp releases a ring of energy bursts, that expand outward from his position. Contact with these bursts slows racers and can imprison them, requiring one to break free before continuing on.
- Illusory Gates
Mister Mxyzptlk can conjure several small replicas of the race gates, that will hover in various places along the race course, and are intended to fool racers into leaving the course. These gates are harmless, simply disappearing on contact with a racer, but can cost several seconds if not recognized for what they are.
On completion Edit
Upon achieving a Platinum reward time for this race players receive a message from Mister Mxyzptlk, accessible from any Mail Terminal.
